it’s amazing that when we grew up we survived road trips without any electronic devices. We used to use i imagination and make up games with our families like “I spy”. my own children have never been entertained with DVD players for road trips, they have always used their imagination, made up games and it’s been a fun family time together

I still can’t bring myself to get a DVD player for the kids in the car. I think they need to learn to look at the scenery, interact with others, etc. TV is so readily available at home, and I’m glad for the car trips when it’s not even an option. I agree that if a DVD player is used, it should only be for a very small part of the trip.
