I’ve added several new string game tutorials to my youtube channel recently (which has also recently passed over 30 million views!! Thank you very much!). The latest one is the the “Running Dog”, also called Walk the Dog. It’s one of the more difficult string figures to make, but I break it down step by step and show it from the user’s point of view so you can follow along with me in the video.
Also, our adorable cat Rocky is also hamming it up for the camera as usual.
If this is your first string figure, I recommend starting with something a little easier such as Cup and Saucer, until you get the hang of it. I have a whole list of String Figures here.

Remember, this is definitely one of the most difficult string figures to make, so don’t get too frustrated if you can’t do it on the first try. Watch the video carefully, and even have a friend do it with you so you can help each other.
